Clubs & Student Leadership
Powered by Students. Guided by Values.
At Doane Stuart, student voice drives the experience. Our clubs and leadership opportunities are created, shaped, and led by students who are passionate about their interests and committed to making an impact on the school community—and beyond.
Student-Created, Student-Led
Unlike many schools where clubs are designed from the top down, all clubs at Doane Stuart are student-initiated and student-run. Have an idea? We’ll help you bring it to life. From creative writing to chess, environmental advocacy to cultural awareness, our clubs reflect the passions and personalities of the students who lead them.
Student Government
Our Student Government empowers students to represent their peers, organize school events, and collaborate with faculty on meaningful improvements to campus life. It’s not just a voice—it’s a platform for change. Students gain firsthand experience in leadership, responsibility, and civic engagement.
No Place for Hate®
Doane Stuart is proud to be a No Place for Hate® school, an initiative that fosters a safe, inclusive, and respectful school environment for all. Led by students, this program includes workshops, events, and peer-led discussions that promote equity, empathy, and active allyship.
Leadership Through Action
Beyond clubs and formal leadership roles, students at Doane Stuart lead by example—through service projects, mentorship, and school-wide traditions like Blue/Green competitions. Leadership is woven into our culture, not reserved for a select few.
Why It Matters
By giving students ownership of their ideas, voices, and actions, we help them develop:
- Confidence in their leadership abilities
- Collaboration and communication skills
- A deeper connection to their community
- A sense of purpose that extends far beyond school
