Capital Region Poetry Slam

The Future is Listening. Speak up.

The Capital Region Poetry Slam returns in 2026 for its 4th year, amplifying the voices of young poets from across the region. This year’s theme challenges students to claim space, speak truth, and be heard—because the future isn’t just watching. It’s listening.

Open to students in grades 9–12, the Poetry Slam celebrates original work, powerful performance, and the courage it takes to step up to the mic.
