Tiny Thunderchickens
Discover, Grow, and Thrive in a Warm and Welcoming Environment.
Caregiver and Me Classes for Ages 2 to 3 Years Old
Join us for Tiny Thunderchickens, a joyful “caregiver and me” program designed especially for children ages 2 to 3 years old and their grown-ups.
Together you’ll explore a variety of enriching, hands-on activities that nurture early social, emotional, and cognitive development — all while having fun and connecting with other families in our community.
Through play, music, movement, and creative exploration, our smallest Thunderchickens will discover, grow, and thrive in a warm and welcoming environment.
Meet the Teacher
Lauren Bugbee, M.S.Ed.
Lauren brings warmth, creativity, and more than a decade of experience in early childhood and elementary education to her role at Doane Stuart. As the teacher for our Tiny Thunderchickens “Caregiver & Me” program, Lauren creates a nurturing, play-based environment where our youngest learners—and their caregivers—can explore, connect, and grow together.
Lauren is passionate about helping children develop a love of learning from their very first school experiences. Her classes emphasize discovery, movement, music, and social connection, fostering both early learning skills and a joyful sense of community.
Before joining Doane Stuart, Lauren taught at The Sara Marie School and Mountain Road School, serving in both early childhood and lower elementary classrooms. She also worked as a Math Specialist at The Taylor School, supporting individualized instruction in foundational math skills. Earlier in her career, she served as a Care Manager with Northern Rivers Family of Services, where she developed a deep appreciation for the social and emotional needs of children and families—an understanding that continues to inform her teaching today.
Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from The College of Saint Rose. She is delighted to share her love of learning and connection with the Doane Stuart community through the Tiny Thunderchickens program.
