Tuition & Affordability
A Great Education, Within Reach
At Doane Stuart, we believe that cost should never be a barrier to an exceptional education. Our mission begins with “education for students from every quarter,” and we are proud of our long history of enrolling students from a wide range of racial, ethnic, religious, gender, and socio-economic backgrounds.
We understand that choosing an independent school is a significant investment—and we are committed to working with families to make a Doane Stuart education as affordable as possible.

“With four of our children graduating from Doane Stuart, we can confidently speak to the exceptional quality of education they received.
The school’s rigorous academic program—delivered in a supportive, nurturing environment by outstanding teachers—prepared them thoroughly for college. Their experiences with advanced coursework, writing, and public speaking at Doane Stuart have continued to benefit them well beyond graduation.”
Financial Aid at Doane Stuart
We are proud to offer a robust need-based financial aid program, as well as limited merit scholarships for Upper School students. Financial aid is awarded as a grant—not a loan—and represents our investment in your child’s growth and potential.
- Awards are based on demonstrated need and the availability of school funds
- All applications are reviewed confidentially and individually by our Financial Aid Committee
- Families are expected to contribute as much as they are able to their child’s education
- Merit-based Head’s Awards are available for new Upper School students (no separate application required)
