Thunderchickens Rule
Spirit. Tradition. Pride.
What’s a Thunderchicken?
If you know, you know. And if you don’t—you’re about to find out.
At Doane Stuart, school spirit runs deep, and the Thunderchicken is more than just a mascot—it’s a symbol of our creativity, unity, and pride. We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we take our love for this community very seriously.
Whether you’re cheering on your classmates, performing in a talent show, or competing in one of our cherished school traditions, the Thunderchicken spirit is always present—and it rules.
Blue vs. Green: A Friendly Rivalry
Doane Stuart’s legendary Blue/Green Games are more than just a competition—they’re a tradition. Each student is assigned to either the Blue Team or the Green Team when they enter the school, and they stay on that team throughout their time at Doane Stuart.
From trivia and relays to costume contests and tug-of-war, Blue/Green brings out the best in our students (and teachers!), combining teamwork, leadership, and tons of fun.
Conge: You’ll Never See It Coming
Ask any student what their favorite day of the school year is, and they’ll say Conge. It’s our beloved annual celebration—a day of unexpected joy, games, food, and laughter. Planned in secret by the senior class and revealed with flair, Conge is a tradition students look forward to all year.
- No classes, just celebration
- Exciting themes, fun costumes, and team games
- A surprise that turns into a lifelong memory
Jam Sessions, Spirit Weeks & More
Thunder Chickens know how to show up for each other. Whether it’s Spirit Week with themed dress-up days, or spontaneous jazz band jam sessions, or cheering on classmates at performances, there’s always something happening that brings our community together.
