All-School Assembly Speaker – Daniel Noah Moses
We are pleased to welcome Daniel Noah Moses from The Fig Tree Alliance to Doane Stuart School for an all-school assembly on Friday, May 1.
Daniel brings a unique perspective shaped by a life spent studying and engaging with questions of how people can live together with justice, dignity, and mutual understanding. His experiences include living and working in regions impacted by conflict, including more than a decade in Jerusalem with Seeds of Peace, as well as time in Armenia and other parts of the world. He has worked with educators, students, and community leaders across diverse cultural and political contexts to foster dialogue and collaborative learning.
An accomplished scholar, Daniel has taught at institutions such as Harvard University and has been affiliated with the Mandel Institute for Educational Leadership. His work bridges history, social theory, and real-world practice, encouraging individuals to think critically and engage thoughtfully with complex global issues.
During the assembly, Daniel will help set the stage for understanding current events in the Middle East by sharing his personal experiences and insights. He will also emphasize the importance of developing the skills to engage respectfully with differing perspectives—an essential part of our students’ growth as informed and empathetic global citizens.
We look forward to this meaningful learning opportunity for our school community.
