Doane Stuart Announces Return to PreK – Grade 12 Model

Doane Stuart is excited to announce that beginning with the 2026–27 school year, the school will once again offer a comprehensive PreK through Grade 12 program — continuing its proud tradition of providing an exceptional, mission-driven education that supports students from their earliest years through graduation. This expansion reflects Doane Stuart’s long-standing commitment to academic excellence, character development, and education that nurtures the whole child.

Enrollment for Grades 1–4 is now open, and the school is welcoming inquiries for families interested in joining a dynamic, inclusive, and mission-driven learning community next fall.

“Returning to a full PreK–12 model allows us to deliver the continuity of experience that is central to the Doane Stuart mission,” said Marcy Cathey, Head of School. “Our students form strong relationships with teachers and classmates, develop a lifelong love of learning, and grow into confident, compassionate young adults. This continuity — beginning in early childhood and continuing through high school — ensures that every student is known, supported, and challenged.”

Doane Stuart’s academic program blends rigorous coursework, hands-on exploration, and a focus on ethical leadership. In the Lower School, students build a strong foundation in literacy, mathematics, science, and the arts through inquiry-based learning and close teacher guidance. As students advance, they experience a challenging curriculum that emphasizes critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration — skills essential for success in college and beyond.

The return to a PreK–12 structure also strengthens Doane Stuart’s close-knit community, where younger students benefit from mentorship by older peers, and the entire school celebrates milestones and traditions together.
