Popped into the Narrative Journeys Class and discovered this beautiful assignment ~ What would your biography be in blue…..
Create sixteen different shades that can still be classified as blue by subtly mixing in various colors. Each color should match the adjective you selected to describe different shades of blue from our last lesson. The goal is to match the various swatches of blue with the adjectives we identified in an earlier lesson after reading Rebecca Solnit’s essay “The Distance of Blue” from her collection A Field Guide for Getting Lost.
Students will then write a poem or an essay to accompany the pairings of colors and descriptors. The goal is to create biographies and stories to accompany the different hues of blue.
