Parents Association
Mission Statement
The Parents Association works collaboratively with other members of the Doane Stuart community to foster community and school spirit, enhance the educational process through a variety of activities and events, and support the growth of Doane Stuart facilities and programs.
What is the Parents Association?
The Association builds and encourages a strong and supportive parent community and provides a network of communication between parents, faculty, and administration, to keep administrators and parents informed, and to give parents a voice in the life of the school. The Association fosters volunteerism and supports the School’s fundraising efforts.

Values
Commitment: We foster children’s academic success, creativity, health, and well-being through strong parent, family, and community involvement.
Inclusivity: All parents and guardians are members of the Association. We value and seek input from as wide a spectrum of viewpoints and experiences as possible. We are mindful of keeping the Parent Association accessible and offering all interested parents the opportunity for meaningful participation.
Respect: We value all members of our Doane Stuart community: administrators, faculty, staff, and trustees; parents; students; and all those who live and work in Rensselaer and our home communities. We listen and speak carefully so all are heard. We model respect in our interactions with others.
Collaboration: We work in partnership with members of our Doane Stuart community and a wide array of individuals and organizations to accomplish our agreed-upon goals.
Integrity: We value decision-making and actions guided by the principles of personal integrity, empathy, responsibility, and respect for self and others. We maintain confidentiality, where appropriate. We act consistently with our beliefs. When we err, we acknowledge the mistake and seek to make amends.
Accountability: We acknowledge our obligations. We deliver on our promises.
