Congratulations are in order for Jared Effman ‘21, on having his artwork selected and displayed at the Opalka Gallery at Sage for the annual High School Regional Art Competition. In a competition of over 500 submitted works, Jared’s was 1 of 108 selected.

Jared said he was inspired to create his piece “Anatomy” from an image in a medical textbook. He appreciated how intricate and complex all the different pieces of the human body were. He decided he wanted to challenge himself to draw the image using a technique called stippling, in which the artist used dots to produce the drawing.
