School spirit was ringing high at this year’s Corn Roast, Doane Stuart’s version of Homecoming. Students and faculty in the Upper School joined together to cheer on the boys varsity soccer team as they defeated Berlin. Then we all gathered around the fire to feast on corn and s’mores and prepare for the picking and sorting of new students and faculty into Blue or Green teams and for the playing of our traditional game of Loup (a unique and wonderful game played in teams of blue and green based on a simple game of hide and seek).
Corn Roast brings together some longstanding traditions from both Kenwood and St. Agnes, and is a favorite event among students past and present.
