Lower School
Doane Stuart's program in Nursery through Fourth Grade provides academic challenge at each stage, in a welcoming and nurturing environment, giving children a thorough grounding in basic factual knowledge and the necessary skills to enrich their studies in math, reading, writing, science and social studies. With this foundation, students gain the competence and confidence to experience fully the real excitement of learning; they look for patterns, discover connections, see the world in new ways, and take time to think and explore. Specialized classes in French, art, music, religion and movement education provide additional enhancement; and extensive library and computer resources further open the world to our students.
