Special Art Class: Painting, Drawing and Mixed-Media
Students will learn about various historical art periods and create unique projects informed by important artists/art movements. When weather permits, we will paint, draw, collage and create artwork from life around the school grounds and on Doane Stuart’s green roof. A few projects will be matted and framed; some paintings will be finished on canvas, and all work will be mounted, ready for display in your home when picked up at the end of the course. We’ll have an ART SHOW at the end of this term, and other arts will be taught in winter and spring terms.
[Cost for first 12 students to sign up is $65 – this includes canvas, paper, matt board and frames and misc. art supplies for 7 weeks = 14 sessions]
